Just Married
this movie is what i like to call a "no-brainer". you don't have to think too hard, you just watch and (hopefully) enjoy. which is just what i did. ashton kutcher and brittany "i'll never tell" murphy turned in wonderfully convincing performances as a newlywed couple. a few gems that came out of their mouths during the movie i shamefully remember uttering myself on or around my wedding day. (i was horrified to think my parents knew i...well...you know).
but the movie went from the familiar to the absurd, which made it all the more funny. the poor-boy, rich-girl thing has been done a million times. (cough cough titanic), but this movie put just the right amount of focus on that and didn't try to put it off as if all the problems they were facing were because of their financial background. it came into play, as it would in real life, but it wasn't "oh look at me, i'm stupid because i'm poor". they made sure that it was "oh look at me, i'm ashton kutcher, and by nature stupid" ashton honey - i don't know you, i don't know how intelligent you are, but if you keep taking stupid roles, well, it's going to start making people wonder. and punk'd doesn't help. and please get a haircut. oh jeez i sound like someeone's mother.
