How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

i had heard this movie reviewed as "how to lose a guy by bringing him to a terrible chick flick". that just goes to show you how very wrong 'real' critics can be. this was a great fluff date movie. you know how i am about chemistry and kate hudson and matthew mcconaughey had great chemistry. it was funny how over the top she was with all the "fatal flaws" that women commit in relationships. any woman that goes to this movie and says that she hasn't exhibited some, or at least a variation, of this behavior is lying! and any man that says he hasn't been in a relationship where the woman has committed some of these faux pas is oblivious.

overall, a nice movie where you don't have to think too much. it had a predictible ending, but in the world we currently live in where nothing is foreseeable, it was comforting. and that's what you want from a movie anyway. i left the theater feeling good about myself, and laughing a little at myself, as i realized how many silly things we all do in our relationships. a few times darren looked over at me and laughed, because i had done something similar to kate hudson's character.

bottom line - a must see for happy couples, a must see for women who don't understand why men keep leaving them, and a must see for men who are too picky and think that if a woman exhibits one of these characteristics, she should be thrown away. and a must see for everyone else who wants a good laugh and wants to leave the theater happy.
